Chrysanthemum indicum (L.) des monl. (Compositae), spreading widely in China, is a well-known herb with small yellow flowers. Oriental traditional medicine has used the aerial parts (stems, leaves and flowers) of Chrysanthemum indicum to treat vertigo, hypertensive symptoms and several infectious diseases such as pneumonia, colitis, stomatitis, carbuncle and fever .
