Cymbopogon flexuosus (Family: Poaceae) is native to India, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.This grass grows upto 2m tall from short woddy rhizome.the essential oil was obtained from the roots which constitute higher percentage of citral.
Essential oil is perfumery, flavour, citral is used for synthesis of vitamin A.
