Cymbopogon flexuosus (Family: Poaceae) is native to India, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.This grass grows upto 2m tall from short woddy rhizome. For high citral percentage and more number of cuttings, suitable for sodic soils; oil yield 261 kg/ha/year.
Essential oil is perfumery, flavour, citral is used for synthesis of vitamin A.
