The essential oil of leaves have a unique property of inhibiting ability to taste sweet substances. Besides this, antidiabetic property of leaves is also reported. It is well known that the antidiabetic plants possess antioxidant activity.
Large number of reports on the pharmacological activi- ties of essential oil from plants have been recently published. The oil have other value too like it was used in sweets, for making sweetners etc.
