Foeniculum vulgare (Family: Apiaceae/ Umbelliferaceae) is native of Europe and Asia. It is generally considered indigenous to the shores of Mediterranean sea but has become widely naturalised in many part of the world especially on dry soils near the sea coast and on the river banks
Essential oil is used in flavour liquors, vinegars, bread, pasteries, candies. In culinary articles. Used in Indian, folk & Inani system of abortifacient, carminative, cardiotonic, stimulant.
